The New Brunswick Federation of Labour (NBFL) holds its biennial convention in the spring every two years. Our next Convention is scheduled for May 28 to 31, 2017 at the Delta Beausejour hotel in Moncton. These conventions are important to the work of the Federation. They enable the organization’s members to submit resolutions which are debated at the Convention. Resolutions highlight the issues that are important to working women and men, to their families and to their communities. The resolutions adopted at the Convention then guide the work of the NBFL over the following two years. The Convention is also when the organization’s members democratically elect their Executive Officers to oversee the work of the NBFL over the following two years. Members elect the following officers: President, Secretary-Treasurer, First Vice-President, Second Vice-President, Vice President responsible for Women’s Issues, Vice President responsible for Young Workers.
